About

Qlip is a clipboard manager for iPhone and iPad. Save text and links by pasting them into the app, sharing from other apps, or through Siri Shortcuts. Everything is stored on your device — no accounts, no tracking, no data collection.

Saving and organizing

Tap the paste button to save whatever is on your clipboard, up to 5000 characters per item. You can also send text and links to Qlip from any app using the Share Extension. Each item can be edited and given an optional label. Items can be tagged with one or more colors for organizing your collection.

Finding what you need

Search across item text and labels. Filter by color tag, content type (links, phone numbers, emails, dates, addresses, transit info), or both. Filters can be set to match all selected criteria or any of them. Sort by newest, oldest, or most recently copied.

Link previews and content detection

Qlip detects links, phone numbers, email addresses, dates, physical addresses, code snippets, and transit information in saved text. Web links can show rich previews with titles and images fetched directly from the website using Apple's LinkPresentation framework. Preview images, link previews entirely, and inline markdown rendering can each be toggled in settings. Detected content like phone numbers, emails, and addresses can be opened directly or extracted into separate items.

Keyboard extension

Qlip includes a custom keyboard that lets you insert saved items into any app without switching. The keyboard has no network access and does not see what you type — it reads only from a local snapshot of your Qlip data. It supports the same color tag and content type filters as the main app.

Sync

If iCloud is enabled, items sync across your devices through your private iCloud container. Qlip works with Universal Clipboard — copy on your Mac and save it on your iPhone.

Shortcuts

Two Siri Shortcuts actions are included: Save to Qlip (with optional color tagging) and Get Item from Qlip (with optional filtering). Both can be triggered by voice or built into automations.
